MGOZ

Betlehem in Għajnsielem will officially open its doors to the public on Sunday 9th December. Gozo Minister Justyne Caruana spoke of unprecedented investment to make Gozo a Christmas destination of international renown.

The Minister said that Gozo has seen an enormous increase in cultural activities throughout the year, in a press conference earlier today. Caruana reiterated that the Nativity Village is internationally recognised, and not just a local attraction.

The Parliamentary Secretary for Local Government Silvio Parnis also added that the Local Council of Għajnsielem is doing everything it can to keep the locality alive and well, as well as answering the citizens’ expectations. He augured that the Christmas Village will repeat its previous successes in terms of tourism, and an awakening of cultural awareness.

Għajnsielem Mayor Franco Ciangura also gave a detailed explanation of the new attractions which were added this year with the final aim of keeping the locality a Christmas hub.

Betlehem in Għajnsielem will be open from Sunday 9th December until Sunday 6th January. For more information, one can visit www.visitgozo.com, or the event’s Facebook page.
