MAPFRE Middlesea and MAPFRE MSV Life are collaborating with the Smiling with Jerome Foundation to help in raising awareness towards autism and provide help to a six-year-old girl that has been diagnosed with the condition four years ago.

A casual after-work hot dog event helped raise 1,000 euros which MAPFRE Malta then doubled to a total amount of 2,000 euros which was donated to the Smiling for Jerome Foundation.  The foundation will be using the funds to help the non-verbal six-year-old to acquire an updated iPad device that helps her communicate with others in a more concise and effective manner as she grows older.

MAPFRE Malta intends to continue its support with such initiatives in order to help those diagnosed with autism and other conditions.

The Smiling with Jerome Foundation is an organisation that seeks “to provide support, assistance and compassion to individuals who are passing through difficult times, with particular emphasis on those who have been diagnosed with cancer or other serious ailments.”
