The Gozo Half Marathon Organising Committee is proud to announce that the 44th edition of the Teamsport Gozo Half Marathon will take place on the 27th and 28th of April 2019. Registrations for participation are now open.
The 2019 edition will have several changes from the usual event format.
Spread over two days of it makes a perfect opportunity for friends and family alike to spend a weekend in Gozo whilst enjoying the untouched beauty of Malta’s sister island and experiencing this revolutionary format of the event, which is the first of its kind on the Maltese islands.
Competitive races for children (Kids 2km and Kids 4km) will take place on Saturday the 27th of April making it possible for parents and relatives to watch their little ones run. Sunday the 28th of April will not just be the day of the half-marathon but will also see the debut of a new 10km route which will replace the previous 8-mile race. The Sunday event will also feature a number of non-competitive runs/walks (10km walk, 5km walk family 5km run and family 2km run).
Mark Bonnici the president of the organising committee said that the quality iof the event is being improved every year.
The Gozo Tourism Association has recognised the efforts of the Gozo Half Marathon organisers by awarding them the Gozo Cultural/Social Tourism Achievement Award 2018.
