There has been a crash between two planes on the runway at Malta International Airport.
According to Newsbook sources the accident happened at around 9PM local time.
According to the sources, no one was injured in the incident.
The crash occurred between a Ryanair plane and another plane operated by Turkish Airlines which was preparing to depart for Istanbul.
Passengers on board the Turkish Airlines flight were evacuated from the plane.
According to MIA’s departures, the Turkish Airlines flight was expected to depart at 20.10. The Ryanair flight was arriving from Bari at 21.30PM.
Both are registered as delayed.
The crash is understood to happened when the left wing of the Ryanair plane hit the tail of the Turkish Airlines aircraft.
