Gozo Minister Justyne Caruana said that Gozo is ready and open to receive foreign investment. This while escorting Sophie Chen, a coordinator for a delegation of Chinese investors, around Gozo to discuss the island’s potential for investment along with Finance Minister Edward Scicluna. Scicluna pointed out that very few of investors interested in Malta take the time to find out what Gozo has to offer.
“The point of today was that we have an important Chinese delegation coming to our country,” explained Scicluna, adding that this was done for representatives of Gozitan businesses can themselves explain the sister island’s priorities.
Minister Caruana meanwhile said that the Gozo Ministry is working non-stop to attract direct foreign investment towards Gozo. She said that the Chinese delegation is proof of the fruit of the Ministry’s ongoing work. Caruana also said that collaboration with Gozitan stakeholders in the commercial sector helps to portray the message the Gozo is open to foreign investment.
