A total of 23.5kg of micro and macro-litter was collected in just 45 minutes by the Sacred Heart College Eco-school (EkoSkola) Committee during a clean-up activity in the coastal region of Għajn Tuffieħa.

During the community-based activity, students from the senior and junior schools, together with the members of staff and parents, participated to make a difference to the environment.

In the meantime, commenting on the clean-up, the National Youth Council of Malta said, “It gives us pleasure to meet the younger generation that without any hesitation are taking the lead in our present and their future. Their ideas, energy and commitment is what the NYC strives for.”
